Geez

Well after getting home yesterday and talking with David, it appears the "added service" on the phone bill is something AT&T did for me. They did the same thing to him with a different "webhosting" provider only his was $14.95 a month, not $12.95. He complained and got it taken off. I will be calling AT&T to complain to them about it. If they try to say they have no control over that I will tell them what the webhosting company told me on the phone yesterday - it's AT&T's responsibility to see that doesn't happen again. I hate that we have no other option here but AT&T and you MUST have a landline to have DSL service. Talk about stinking.

GRRR

Definitely not a good way to start a Friday. I picked up my mail and my regular phone bill was there. It contained a $12.95 charge for some bogus webhosting that I supposedly signed up via the internet. I did NOT. I called them and complained loudly that I did NOT authorize that and would NEVER authorize it and to remove the bogus charge from my phone bill because I was NOT going to pay for it. Apparently someone who knows me used my telephone number (which is unlisted) and my mailing address (which is a PO Box) and signed me up for this "service". If you read my blog and you did this to me, know I check every bill I receive every month and I am very angry at you. You just took a half hour of my life. Hope it was fun for you. It certainly wasn't for me. I had other things to do this morning.

Sad, Sad, Sad

You would think after almost 53 years here I would have learned. I know better than to let anything make me happy, even for a few minutes. It is always taken away from me.

I have no one to take me to the airport in October. Airfare is really high. I am looking at $700+ just to get to the airport and out of California for vacation. That will be my entire budget.

I know better than to be happy. Don't let me do it again. I am never anything except disappointed and heartbroken.

Happy, Happy, Happy!!!

I am so happy I am bursting!!! OK, this won't mean much to anyone but me (and maybe my brother) but I just saw the pre-season schedule for the Celtics and THEY ARE PLAYING AT THE GARDEN ON MY BIRTHDAY!!! We are talking about riding the train in for the 1pm game and I will have just want I really wanted for this birthday - to see a LIVE Boston Celtics game AT HOME on MY BIRTHDAY!!!

Den is going to put together the info on train and tickets and let me know.

This is the 50th birthday celebration 3 years late but better late than never. I will update when there's more info. Time to go shopping for airplane tickets!

Sunday Happenings

Going to meet my friend Alma for brunch and then a bit of shopping. I have to get moving, though, because I need to go to the post office first and that's the other side of town. I want to get a swap put in the mail.

This afternoon I am going to try to motivate myself to start the washcloth blog. It will just be from this point forward. I can't possibly post pictures of all of them or remember all the patterns. But it might be an interesting place to start. You know if I was ambitious I could sell these somewhere and make some extra cash. I've thought about that, about doing commission work. I did in the past, once, and I think for me it would be easier to make them and then sell them instead of having someone say they want a certain pattern in a certain color. Less pressure. But for me it's fun and relaxing. Anyway I think I may start the washcloth blog today. If I don't change my mind.

It's been a quiet weekend. I've finished 3 washcloths, started 2 more and watched a bunch of movies. My typical weekend. Except that today I am leaving the house and seeing a friend. I haven't seen a friend (outside of David) on a weekend for at least a month. I either need new friends or I need the friends I have to have a bit more free time!

So I'm off to get ready so I can leave the house on time. Looking forward to a nice brunch. Yum!
