Sunday Plans

You know I forget that other people read this blog since I think of this as a place to ramble and rant. I have been feeling very family-less lately because I did not make my usual May trip to see my mother and brother in New Hampshire. My daughter is pregnant and living in the same state but far enough away that I have to plan (and budget) well in advance to see her. Hence why I have not seen her since she got married in December 2004. She is a busy young lady with a job, a husband and soon, a child. I know if I went there she would make time for me but I'd rather she did what she wanted since it's her life and I have my own, too. I have my KC friends that I love spending time with, a job I like and a pretty place to live. I spend a lot of my time lately knitting things for my first grandchild. That, in turn, means that my shoulders are aching horribly. I won't knit much today but I will do some.

My Sunday plans are usually to get the garbage to the curb and do nothing much else unless it's a Sunday when the KC (Knitting Circle) gets together. Today is not one of those days but I am breaking my Sunday cycle. I will, of course, get the garbage to the curb but I am going to take a shower, get dressed and leave the house. I don't know what I will do yet or where I will go but I think this heat has given me summer blues. Yeah, yeah, I know... people only get the blues in the winter. Well, not me. I get them in the summer. So to kick them out of me I am going to ride the stationary bike for a while (while watching tv), take a shower, get dressed and venture out into the world somewhere. Even if it's just to Kentucky Fried Chicken for a bucket of chicken (hey... I can get FOUR meals out of a bucket or more! Great bargain for someone who lives alone!) I will get out. I don't feel like shopping because there's nothing I'm in the mood to buy. No... you DID NOT hear that from me! But I will find somewhere to go and something to do. It is time to change my Sunday plans and kick at the summertime blues.

Then I'll settle in to watch "The 4400" and "The Dead Zone" tonight. If it's Sunday I gotta have my science fiction. :)
