The Last Saturday in January
It's hard to believe it's the last Saturday in January already. Time flies! Of course unless you want it to and then it drags. Right?
I have a lot I want to accomplish today and tomorrow. Well, actually, tomorrow I am going out for a really late breakfast and a movie with Amy. I won't get any crafty things done but I will have a wonderful time.
I'm going to see Ally and Sean and Matt again. I'm twisting the plan a bit. She has Friday and Saturday off so I am going down Thursday night, taking Friday and Monday off from work, and I will fly home on the late Sunday night flight. That's why I have to take Monday off - I can't go in to work at 7:30am when I don't get home until 1am. Of course since the cost of airfare and parking and gas makes it relatively expensive, I won't have hardly any spending money. So we'll do inexpensive things like make apple crisp and watch movies and maybe we'll go do something free somewhere. If we lived closer and I didn't have to spend money getting there, things would be a lot different. But they plan to move once Sean is out of school and gets a job so moving there would be a mistake. And there would be nothing to bring them to Chico. I can't imagine Sean getting a decent job here and them being able to afford living here. I can only afford to live here because of assistance of friends. If I ever have to get another job, I worry. The attitude here in Chico is that they want you to pay top dollar for everything but if you work for them, they want to pay you bottom dollar. That means 2 jobs for a lot of people. But I digress... Wish they were closer.
It is gloomy today and supposed to stay that way for a few more days. Rain. I don't mind the rain. I have to go buy some food at Costco so I hope it isn't a downpour. When it's gloomy I get a lot of crafty things done because I watch tv huddled under a fleece blanket and keep my hands moving. I'm going to David's for dinner and tomorrow out for a late breakfast and a movie with Amy. Another busy weekend.
Life is short. Time rushes by. Gotta do what I want while I can. And not go broke doing it. :)
