Wednesday Stuff
Tomorrow my brother is going to buy the tickets to the Celtics game which we will attend on our birthday. Yippie!
I have been looking into tickets to go visit Ally, Matt and Sean for Christmas. I can probably get a flight for about $150.
I am making plans to attend the November Legal Secretaries, Inc. conference. Guess that means I need to put in for the time off, see if the boss will agree to pay for my ticket (I'll share a room with Susan - I may have to come up with half of that on my own) and send in my registration form. It's not due until the end of September so at least I have time.
What else is happening? Not a lot. I am having lunch with Alma this Friday so I will use that opportunity to give her the beads I have which she can use on the paper mache (OK so I can't spell!) shoes she is making for the conference we are giving next May.
Oh now that just popped into my head. I may not be able to go visit my mom for Mother's Day because of the conference. Bummer. I will have to sit down with a calendar and calculator to figure that out. I wasn't planning on using my spring vacation for the conference. Ugh.
I have no real plans for this weekend or any other until October. I have a doctor's appointment next Tuesday. Then there is a long weekend for Labor Day. I'm going to work extra time that week so I can have Friday off since my boss will be out of town and he has said when he's out of town I can do that. That'll be interesting. Busy time while I'm there but an extra day off is always nice.
The weather is supposed to be heating up. Not fond of that.
I am becoming more and more of a hermit. I haven't been able to reach Amy for a month. I hope she's ok. I wonder if she's at her parents' house. Susan is always incredibly busy so the only time I see her is at the Legal Secretary related meetings. David is holed up in his room most of the time which isn't unusual. I think if I didn't go to lunch with Alma and take a weekly Saturday trip to Joann's across town I would probably never go anywhere. I can do shopping before work. I can pick up my mail. It's scary when I think about it.
Guess I'm glad I'm going on vacation.
