Long Thoughts
I don't know anyone who loves the mini-series "The Stand" more than me. Mother Abagail has this line when they are getting ready to leave Nebraska and go to Boulder where she says to Nick that she is thinking long thoughts. I have been doing that today.
I'm thinking about the friends I held dear for so long who, despite my efforts, let our friendship fall away, cast aside and expendible after years of sharing everything. In particular, I miss Klava terribly. There are other friends, too, and some which I let go after a long time because there was nothing left to do.
I have some wonderful long term friends. Rae. The PSC Girls - Jeannie, Bev and Torse. I wouldn't trade them for anything.
But you know, sometimes I just really miss the friends who decided I wasn't worth knowing anymore. And it's times like that when I cry.
I've started thinking in 6 word sentences. It's challenging. Here are some of the things that have come up recently in my brain:
1. I'm soft inside, too, you know.
2. One day you will miss me.
3. Soft rain puts me to sleep.
4. Dancing alone just isn't any fun.
5. I am alone inside my shell.
6. Being with family makes me whole.
OK, that's enough of that. I should try to post to my Crafty Rantings. In the meantime I am going to finish laundry and find something to eat and something to watch on tv.
Hard to believe it's December already. 22 more days before I get to see Ally!!
