At the Beach

Saturday the 13th we went to the beach with my friend Sherry as you can tell from an earlier post. Here are pictures from that day. Ally & Matt and Matt's footprints. Ih ave a few other pictures on a disk from what Ally took with her camera but have not uploaded those to my computer. These are nice anyway. Enjoy! (I know I did!)

Family

Just a few family pictures. To the left, Den's 4 generations. Our mom holding Andrew, Devin (Andrew's father, Den's son) to the left and Den to the right behind the chair.

The center picture is my mom holding her two great grandsons - my grandson Matt on the left and Den's grandson Andrew on the right.

The picture on the right is my 4 genreations. My mom, me, Ally and Matt.

I have other pictures to post later. Cute ones of Matt at the beach. For now, though, I think I am in need of a break from posting. I have been at it for a few hours (this and my crafty blog). More later!

(NOTE: Upon seeing the published version, the pictures don't line up 3 in a row but you can figure it out, I know you can!)

Catching Up With My Friends

I had a chance to catch up with my three friends from college but not all at once like last year. Saturday the 13th my friend Sherry and I went to Wells Beach with my daughter Ally and grandson Matt. We had a blast! There we are on the left mugging for the camera. On our way back to my mother's from the beach what should we see but a HUGE moose with a HUGE rack crossing the road in front of us! What a great treat! Ally had never seen one.
Then after we dropped Ally off at the airport Tuesday afternoon, I went and met my friends Jeannie (in blue) and Bev (in white) and we had a nice long 3 hour chat. It is amazing to me that we have all known each other since we were 17 or 18. Bev and I worked in the English department together and Jeannie and I were Elementary Ed majors together. Sherry lived down the hall and was an accounting major and married her husband in January of the same year I married Ally's dad.
Sherry became a grammy this year, too. She has an adorable granddaughter who lives in Massachusetts. She probably gets to see her a little more often than I see Matt but we both love being Grammy. Jeannie's son, Tom, got married in May of this year so maybe Jeannie will be a Grammy next year, too.
Bev has been teaching math to high school students for over 25 years now. She is so good at what she does!
These are all amazing women and I am very proud to know them and be able to call them friends. It's wonderful to make lifetime friends. And sometimes amazing that those who turn out to be your lifetime friends are people you might not have thought ever would. I treasure all the memories of time with these ladies. It made my vacation happier to spend time with them.
Now I am home and I look forward to getting together with my friends here. Some of them are lifetime friends, too. What a lucky lady I am!
