Frustrations

As much as I hate to think about this, I think I am going to have to move. I am so sick and tired of some things that keep going on and when I have complained, nothing changes. I do not have a lock on the door to my room. I am sure if I asked for one they'd be offended. But they come in to my room when I am not here (while I'm working earning money to give them for the room!) and they use my shower, leave the windows open so it's nice and cold in my room and I just feel like I have no sense of privacy. And then David knocks on my door and offers to do my laundry. Geez. I have no idea what is going on. I'm going to fill out paperwork to see if I could pre-qualify for any kind of loan because there are some condos that seem affordable and big enough. We'll see how motivated I am to actually move. But if I could get mortgage payments the same as rent it would be something to seriously consider.

I have to do a ton of knitting this weekend. I'm tired. That adds to everything and is why this was titled "frustrations". Oh and the Celtics are playing again tonight and they do nothing but lose lately. Every team I root for. So if every team I root for is going to lose, let me loudly begin the cheer...

GO LAKERS!

Quickie

First, I was able to get the headlight changed last night and that is good. Only took me about 1.5 hours of waiting which isn't bad considering they were short staffed.

Second, I would like to say I am very happy Scott Brown won in Massachusetts. I like (and encourage) the idea that it is The People's Seat. I think he has his work cut out for him but I believe he will do a good job.

Is it Friday yet? :)

LTNP

Yup, long time no post. Not that I've been overly busy. I have been knitting up a storm since Christmas. I will post about that on my Crafty Rantings blog hopefully soon.

The weather is wet and windy and what winter is supposed to be like in northern California.

I talked to Ally over the weekend which I enjoy. And Matt wouldn't talk but at least he listened for a moment or two. Hopefully I can go visit him again well before his 4th birthday next December.

I am also hoping to plan a trip to visit my mom. She's been having a rough winter weather-wise and I know come spring she would like some company.

Typically I don't post anything political but here's my mini political thing.

Massachusetts, if you're smart you'll elect Scott Brown. And please, would everyone STOP referring to it as "the Kennedy seat"? It's a representative seat to represent the PEOPLE of Massachusetts. It isn't owned by a Kennedy. It isn't supposed to be a Kennedy in it or someone sponsored by a Kennedy. If this were the case then in California when it comes time to fill "the Boxer seat" or "the Feinstein seat" or, in November when hopefully they remove Harry Reid and Nevada attempts to fill "the Reid seat" perhaps they can ALL go back to being the PEOPLE's REPRESENTATIVE's seat.

Had the low-beam part of my driver's side headlight go out this morning (think it had been dying for some time) which means replacing both headlights. I am hoping I can get that done at WalMart tonight after work. It was so darn expensive last time when I had to go to another place. I am going to call and find out. Sadly it must be done tonight even though I don't drive at night because when it rains we need to have them on (by law and common sense) and I drive to work in the dark in the morning. Not a big worry but annoying.

I have been dealing with a stuffy nose since Christmas vacation. I think it might be the continual going from cold to hot in and out of home, work, car. I don't have plans for the weekend so maybe I can rest up a bit.

Until then... the mutant penguin is still rambling. Oh, and twittering, too. Although I'd much rather be frittering.
