Two Quick Last Things

1. I wrote a new poem tonight. I haven't written ANY poetry in at least 4 years. Not sure what prompted that.

2. I have a knack for writing, I know. Not just poetry. But it's hard sometimes to put it down in anything longer than a blog posting. Still, I like it and I think it's fun. Everyone always says they want to write a book. Not me. I like short things (hence knitting dishcloths and scarves and other small projects except for socks). Maybe I should consider doing some short stories. I did an article for the Legal Secretary magazine last year. That was fun.

Am I a sick penguin or what? hehehe

Monday Thoughts - in 5's

Things I never want to have to answer:

1. If you could only have 3 people in your life, who would they be and why?
2. What's your sugar level today?
3. Do you like Mexican food?
4. What's your bra size? (Usually asked by men over the internet - boy this really makes me happy to be alone even though sometimes I might not want to be!)
5. You don't mind, do you?

Things I wish I had right now (non-people related):

1. Access to my own personal rain cloud that I could turn on and stand under when I really needed it.
2. My first Barbie that burned in the farmhouse.
3. A seat at the table with dad's model train, running the controls and listening to the whistle. Too bad it isn't working at the moment. Maybe I need to get Den to help me with that when I'm there.
4. A vase of flowers in my livingroom.
5. A day off tomorrow so I could sleep in, drink a lot of coffee, work on a shawl and convince Jolene to go to lunch with me and play hookey. OK... yeah, that is a person-related thing. But that would be a wonderful day, very refreshing and happy and happiness isn't really people related, is it?

Things people forget about me:

1. I hate Mexican food.
2. 30 years later I am still in love with Neil Diamond.
3. I hate the vanilla scent and love maple and raspberry.
4. My favorite flower is the lilac but I am also a sucker for sweet peas.
5. I spent the first 2 weeks of my life alone in an incubator.

Enough 5's. Time for bed. I have to be up at 5. :)
