Sickness
It stinks to be sick. I got a bad cold last week. I was so sick Wednesday I had to stay home. I am better and have been resting but today instead of a stuffy nose, it wants to make me cough. I had plans to go see Susan but between the hacking cough and weather I am staying home. I have no choice. I need to go to work tomorrow and I need to get better before the Legal Secretaries Conference I am attending starting the 27th.
I did something different today... On my way back to my room from the garage, I stopped by the kitchen for a glass of ice and some diet soda. Dad asked if I was hungry and to go ahead and make lunch (he had just eaten). So I was going to fry some eggs when I had another thought - omelet! I haven't really cooked in months but this was fun. I made myself a cheese omelet and was it filling! I know I could cook more if I wanted to but when David is here (he's working today) he usually likes to do it. So this was a nice change.
I am putting on something warmer and digging in for the day. We need the rain, definitely. I am sure, however, that as usual, we have none then a bunch and the ground gets overstaturated and we get flooding. Ugh.
BTW, whoever gave me the cold (which I caught at the office, probably from someone who used the bathroom which means it could have been someone's client at our office or others!), I hope you're better. If I hadn't had a long weekend this might have gone on for a long time. At least I feel better now... but still. Ugh.
