Friday Night Ramblings
It's Friday night and I feel like rambling. That is, in fact, what this blog is about, right? :)
I think tonight I will sit down and watch a bad science fiction movie. If nothing is on the tube, I will pick something from my vast collection although I admit a goodly portion of the collection are in the "chick flick" category. I do NOT feel like watching something romantic (just added "Love Letters" to my collection which, if you have not seen it, is an interesting little movie starring Steven Weber and Laura Linney which I found by accident and have had nothing but an urge to see it again ever since!).
I will also work on a knitting project I started that I would like to finish in the next week. Why? Well because I found a KAL for dishcloths group at Yahoo and now I am anxious to get to doing a few of those. And to make a few more doilies since I found some more interesting patterns.
I am headed for a self indulgent Saturday. My dear friend Amy and I are scheduled to make a day of breakfast (or lunch depending on where we go and when) and shopping. If the weather is going to be decent, we're going to Roseville. If not, we'll stay around home. Maybe we'll even take in a movie. We are, after all, great movie buddies. I'll check to see what's playing that might interest her. She doesn't like sci fi or horror so if I am so inclined, I will go alone. I think, though, she will go see "Harry Potter" and "Spiderman" with me which is good.
Sunday is KC day. I will bring my current knitting project with me so I can get to my goal of finishing it. But I still have the to-be-ripped-out socks in my knitting bag which I will probably take along, too.
So why am I doing all this crafty talking and this is my RAMBLINGS blog?!? Wrong place? Well, maybe. But it's a part of my life. Sometimes I plan things around it. Most of the time I don't. I fit crafting in around everything else.
Anyone says, "Want to go...?" dinner or lunch or shopping or movies or just visiting, I'm all for it. I'll drop my crochet hook or knitting needles faster than you can say, "Want?". :) I absolutely love being able to spend time with family and friends and I am lucky enough to have friends that I consider family.
So tonight I am going to indulge myself and watch something bad, knit and stay up late. At least my body won't be rambling, just my mind. :)
Happy Friday!
