Yes, Still Living

Although I continually wonder how.

Amy went with me last night to the house. She helped move things away from where the tv is going (now it's all in front of the stairs!) and all the things that were in the tile room are now in the kitchen. The house is a complete disaster. I am exhausted and discouraged and the big furniture and heaviest boxes come tomorrow. I am ditching all of the VHS tapes except for the family home movies and two or three I just can't part with because they aren't on dvd. Amy is coming over tomorrow about 11am and will, once again, help me set up after the movers are gone. With two of us hopefully it will move faster.

The sad thing is I cannot figure out why the brand new water heater I have won't stay lit. And I don't know how to light it. I have to wait for Susan or Dan to come over and show me how. I should not have to light it every day. Perhaps it's just a matter of adjustment. I am hoping Dan can fix it because I need to be able to have hot water. Shower. Dishwasher. I have laundry to do but fortunately that will be cold water.

I did not go to sleep until after 10:30pm last night and up at 4am. Tonight I have to take apart my computer, tag everything so I can get it back together, watch the things on my dvr and then hopefully David will disconnect it all for me after 9pm. He is so anxious for me to be gone. I am anxious to be gone. I need to load up my car with the things I will be taking but I can do that in the morning since I will have no tv, computer and if I get that done I will dig out my work tote bag from the car and knit. After I go to McDonald's to pick up coffee since my coffeemaker is at the house although not set up yet.

I am so horribly exhausted. And sore. My right knee has NEVER felt this bad. My right shoulder blade feels like it's bone scraping on bone. My work pants are falling off which means, I hope, that even though I have not been on the treadmill for a month I might be losing a bit of weight. I have set my goal for being back on the treadmill on a daily basis for Monday, April 19th. I was going to shoot for the 12th but unless my knee heals even the 19th won't happen. I know I am doing damage to it with all this up and down and moving. Add the treadmill and only bad things ensue.

Oh, and did I mention that somehow last night I sprained my right big toe? No? Well, somehow, stupidly, I did.

I found the box of my knitting books which went up into the attic and will have to come down. Hope to find the box with the plates. Found one and I know the other is there but I am hoping it's in the pile in my closet that is going to be put away tomorrow.

After the tv is set up Amy and I are going to take a break and sit in the livingroom for a bit. I do need to make sure I know how to run everything. I will do that before they leave but like everything it will need practice. :)

I can't wait to be in the house and have things put away. It is such a nice house. I think of it as a little house but it isn't. 1,664 square feet is NOT really little.

I can't wait to sleep in Saturday morning. Hopefully most everything will be put away, the computer and tv will be working AND, with luck, I will have hot water.

Until then, though, another hour of sleep would be nice.

Whew I am exhausted just reading that! But it is all for a good cause! I am glad you are far along in the moving process. I can't wait to see the finished product (with a happy and intact mom to go with it) hehe
