Long Weekends
I like long weekends. Of course sometimes how we get them is hard. I worked all the hours for 5 days in 4 this week so I could have all of today off instead of just the afternoon.
I spent last night re-organizing in the livingroom and 2nd bedroom since my futon is back where it belongs. I also finished a washcloth for me and got another one half done. I have been contemplating starting a new crafting blog called "The Small Stuff" or something like it because that seems to be all I do these days. Quick projects that are cute and satisfying and that allow me to learn new patterns and skills. But I haven't felt like it.
I slept in today. When I finally got myself in gear I went across town to Joann's and picked up a sandwich. Surprisingly the mailman delivered the mail early and I have already watched the 2 Netflix movies that came. And put them back in the mail.
I finished the washcloth I started last night and have cast on another, same pattern. I've got a couple more projects I want to make before I leave on vacation.
And I've been thinking about vacation. About what I need to do before I go. I need to get medication, make my packing list, make sure the bills are paid and mail picked up and the house needs to be cleaned. The lady who cleans for me will be here before I go to do two hours worth so when I go the house will be nicely clean.
I feel like I am wasting this long weekend opportunity. I should have gone somewhere, done something. I am feeling like I'll just sleep the weekend away. I have no motivation to do much of anything. I know some of it is I am feeling intensely alone. I'll get over it. I always do. But inbetween I will feel restless but unwanting to do anything about it, tired but not wanting to sleep, wanting to eat but not wanting to bother. Oh yes, this is usually what happens when I am home for a long weekend without any plans.
I think tomorrow I am going to find something to do. Maybe I'll start a new blog. Or maybe I'll just sleep. :)
