Hectic

I have been busy! I took the notary test in Sacramento on the 23rd. After that was Labor Day weekend and I wanted to post but was just unable to come up with anything worth posting or the energy. But here's what the old penguin has been doing:

Saturday I went to Nevada City/Grass Valley with Amy. We had lunch, shopped, and I hit up a yarn store (of course). I've finished several crafting projects (see my Crafty Rantings), started more and inbetween I have been working, doing Legal Secretary things and planning my vacation.

I keep thinking I need a weekend at home where I can just sit and knit or crochet but then I think about while I will get a lot done, I'll also be lonely. But maybe I need a bit of that. I think it's because every weekend I haven't been getting that one full day home which is usually Sunday.

I love going out to lunch or dinner with friends on Friday or Saturday and getting errands done. Sundays have always been the stay-home, craft day. I think I need to go back to that. Yeah, I say that but immediately I see the list of exceptions. Lunch with Jo. Coffee with Amy. Sale at Joann's.

Truth is I like being busy and so when I am home, I get a lot of knitting or crocheting done because I concentrate a lot. Yes, sometimes I just sit and don't do anything but I like keeping my fingers going and I love looking at the item as it's being created. I admit that I enjoy it because not only it is a hobby for me, I make good looking products. Not just scarves and washcloths but hats, shawls, wristwarmers, afghans. I have projects I want to tackle but I also don't want to give up the opportunity to go with friends.

So I never say NO to an invitation. And I probably never will. So it's hectic and busy but filled with things I *WANT* to be doing with people I *WANT* to be doing them with.

Can't ask for much more out of life. And I don't.
