Dam Pictures

Last weekend my friend Alma took me up to the Oroville Dam. We walked all the way across and back which was almost 2 miles. Imagine fat old me doing that. Yeah, it's ok to shudder. But I did it. And got some beautiful pictures.
We haven't had enough rain in recent years for the spillway to be used. When there's too much water at the dam they open up the spillway and let it make its was down the Feather River and to other places. It's probably been at least 5 or 6 years since the spillway was open. The pictures on the left and right are looking at the water coming down the spillway. It hits the bottom and makes a huge mist. It is a beautiful sight! The tree in the middle is looking off towards the water in the dam. The mountains in the distance add to the beauty. I have a lot of other pictures but don't really want to spoil this post with more. Thank you Alma for taking me there and sharing your Sunday!
