Time Flies
It amazes me that it is almost the end of August. Den and I are going to try to make flight arrangements this weekend. Right now, however, it appears WAY too expensive so we may have to wait a week. I get nervous having to wait. I need to put in for my time off. We only need to coordinate one flight but still, it takes some doing. We haven't talked yet about attending a game but we need to do that, too, because if we're going we need to arrange to get tickets.
I have a lot going on in my head these days. I am so tired all I want to do is sleep although sometimes that means I can't sleep at all.
Alma came over for dinner Saturday night. Bless her heart she used her weed eater and cut down all the grass in the back yard. Now I need to put together the old fashioned mower I bought (only power it uses is me!) so I can keep it trimmed. She also fixed my lamp that wasn't working. She is so talented! I feel so hopeless about fixing things. But we had nice conversation and a good dinner which was very good for both of us. We have both been by ourselves a lot. She's been away training for her new job. I've been spending too much time alone. My friends are busy with their families and lives. I have no real family nearby and they're all busy anyway.
Sometimes it's rough being alone. But as a friend of mine said one day on Twitter, when you run out of blessings to count, count each breath.
One... two... three... :)
