Ouch
Tuesday night I ran into the little 2 drawer chest in my bedroom. Hit the middle toe of my left foot straight into the sharp corner. It is totally black and blue. I have been icing it and trying to stay off it. Still hurts. I am hoping it is healed before I arrive in New Hampshire two weeks from tonight.
I am tired so maybe I will sleep in tomorrow. I will try anyway. Was going to go out into the livingroom to watch football with David but not sure he wants me to so I may just stay in my room most of the day. Shall see.
I finished one washcloth, knit, the other night so started a crocheted one. Finished that. Started another knit. But lost enthusiasm at the moment. Nothing to watch on tv, don't want to craft and reading has been kinda hard to do since I had my cataract surgeries in 2004. Can't read like I used to... I get blurry fast. But I may try that. Maybe find a DVD among the few that aren't in big boxes in the closets and watch something. I'm not sure what I'm in the mood to see so if I can't think of anything right away I may just go ahead and watch a movie that is on my "keep" list on the DVR. It's a horrible movie but I should watch it before I go east. It's "Celtic Pride" with Dan Aykroyd. Really bad. Saw it a long time ago. I can only hope it isn't really as bad as I remember. Deals with two fanatics who want to kidnap Kevin McHale (yeah, ok, so would I but not for the same reasons... the guy is still darn good looking to this old penguin!). Anyway, it's something. But I know I should read some of the book I've been trying to read all year. Used to be I could finish a book in a week. Maybe I need to force myself to read more.
I can't wait to get my first Dunkin' Donut at the Manchester airport! I'm looking forward to a long hug with my brother and another with my mother. I know I was there in May but it seems so long ago. I probably can't go next May... I forgot we have the annual conference in Sacramento for Legal Secretaries which our association is putting on (with help from one of the Sacramento groups).
I have my tickets for my December trip to see Ally and Matt. Not as much time as I'd like but I can't interfer in her life too much. Wish I had room here so someone (anyone!) could visit me.
I am addicted to "Fringe" on Fox and have been watching almost every old "Frasier" episode Lifetime shows. I have a short list of programs I just MUST see but none of them are "new" this season except for "Warehouse 13", "Royal Pains" and a couple of Food Network shows like "Chopped" and "Chef vs. City". I'm still watching every Law & Order out there. My DVR gets filled during the week and it takes me all Saturday to catch up. That's ok... I don't go anywhere or do much of anything.
Today I tried to keep busy or occupied. Anything to not think but... ouch...
It was 11 years ago today my dad died. Still painful. Still sad. Always will be I expect.
I still love you and miss you Dad. See you when it's time.
