My Family

I have family. Really. I just don't live near them. They have their own lives. These days people are lucky if they're still in the same country! These are my children. The young lady on the left is my daughter, Allyson. She married a very nice young man named Sean on Christmas Day in 2004. I am very, very proud of her. She is smart, has good common sense, is kind and gentle, has a great sense of humor and she loves animals. I miss seeing her very much. But life is always busy when you're young, especially when you're a married young lady. Add in to the mix the fact that she and her husband are both Marine reservists and it gets busier. My son-in-law has served in Iraq and now my daughter will be going later this year. I worry. All parents worry. But I'm still proud of her.

This is my son Andy. He, like his sister, loves animals. I think he enjoyed his internship with the Humane Society the most of everything he's done in the last couple of years. He is one of the nicest young men you'll ever meet. He is kind and loving and gentle and just nice to be around. I know that whatever he ends up doing, he'll be good. I am proud that he has turned out to be such a good young man.

These two have added a lot of joy to my life. The other family that means a lot to me are my twin brother and my Mom. I talk to her almost every day even though she lives in New Hampshire. I love having a cell phone with free long distance! My brother lives about ten minutes away from my mother, in the city where we were born. I miss his very much. He probably knows me better than anyone. Here's a picture of Den and Mom.
